Van Morrison has urged the music industry to fight against what he called the “pseudo-science” of social distancing.
Morrison made his stand clear in a statement posted on his website, calling on his fellow singers, musicians, writers, producers, promoters and others in the industry to fight with him on this cause.
“As you know, we are doing socially distanced gigs at Newcastle Upon Tyne’s Gosforth Park, Electric Ballroom and The London Palladium.

“We need to be playing to full capacity audiences going forward” to challenge social distancing rules, according to him.
However, Morrison’s call irritated many of his fans on Facebook.
