Shane Dawson is facing increased backlash in the wake of disturbing videos resurfacing of him wearing Blackface, using the N-word, and fake-masturbating to a poster of Willow Smith (who was 11 at the time)—and now it looks like corporations and brands are taking a stand against him. For starters, Cosmopolitan UK and Pop Crave report that Morphe appears to no longer be selling the Shane Dawson x Jeffree Star Conspiracy Collection:
Morphe has removed all of Shane Dawson’s makeup products from their website.
This comes after a plethora of videos resurfaced of the YouTuber using blackface, saying the N-word, joking about pedophilia and more. pic.twitter.com/wapLrzDguJ
And on top of that, YouTube told TubeFilter (via the New York Times) that they’ve suspended monetization on all of Shane Dawson’s channels, while Insider reports that Target has removed Shane’s books from stores.
As a reminder, the YouTuber recently posted an apology video titled “Taking Accountability”—but since then Jaden Smith has spoken out about Shane’s highly disturbing Willow Smith video, and beauty vlogger Tati Westbrook has claimed she was fed “poisonous lies” about James Charles by Shane and Jeffree Star.
“Over the course of the next few weeks, [Shane] and Jeffree fed me so much new information that I felt sick,” Tati said. “Almost every day, there was more information and new allegations. Eventually, I started believing what they were saying because they said they had evidence. It wasn’t enough for me to contact the authorities, it was enough to scare me.”
After Tati dropped her video, Shane posted (and then deleted) an all-caps tweet saying “THIS IS A F*CKING LIE AND I’M LOSING MY MIND!!!!!!!!!!”
