A WOMAN who picked up 32 thermal tops for just £16 in B&M has defended her decision not to donate the items, because "charity starts at home".
Katie Thomas took to Facebook to share a picture of her trolley full of the clothes as she raved about her bargain.
"B&M – Pack of two thermal tops was £8 scanning at £1," she wrote in her post on the B&M Bargains, Extreme Money Saving Deals and More group on the social media site.
"No I am NOT donating them," she continued.
"Before anyone starts… Charity starts at home and I’ve already given 5 bags of clothes to charity over the last week.
"Donated Brand new Kids toys to a nursery.

"I’m not about to donate every bargain I find."
In the comments section of her post, many people slammed Katie for refusing to donate the items.
"I mean there’s nothing wrong with a bargain, even sometimes bulk buying said bargain, but when there is a growing fuel poverty in this country, homelessness at its highest, and a war on the brink I think items like this – especially of possible essential use not daft body care sets- should be limited to 2/3 per customer," one person wrote.
"Or better yet, instead of being reduced to feed our mass consumption lifestyle in the western world, donated to those who would benefit from it most (and that’s on the retailer, not the buyer) it’s just mad, who needs 30 thermal tops when there’s people, children sleeping in tube stations in Ukraine in the frost.

Another person weighed in, writing: "Who needs 30 thermal tops though ?"
However, others were on Katie's side, insisting they would have done the same by snapping up the reduced tops if they'd seen them.
"Why shouldn’t you be able to keep the bargains you find for your own family?" one person wrote.
"Gets very dull hearing people judging. I agree charity starts at home but I also contribute my own way.. well done."
And someone else added: "Good for you…. Sick and tired of people criticising others when they find bargains! Enjoy your finds."
