Expert claims parents should ask babies for PERMISSION before changing their nappies

But one sexuality expert has left parents baffled after claiming they should ask their babies for permission before they change their dirty nappies.

Deanne Carson works with children to understand the issues of consent and describes herself as a “sexuality educator, speaker, and author” on Twitter.

Discussing her work in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Deanne said she works “with children from three years old” and “parents from birth” to raise awareness of consent.

When questioned about their young age, Deanne said that she works with families to “set up a culture of consent in their homes".

She recommends parents say:“I’m going to change your nappy now, is that okay?”

While she acknowledged that a baby is unlikely to actually give consent, Deanne suggests parents "leave a space and wait for body language and wait to make eye contact then you’re letting that child know that their response matters”.

Bemused viewers were quick to take to Twitter, with one commenting: “I’m not hearing this right surely.”

Another added: “Absolute lunacy. The world has gone completely mad.”

These mums have revealed the embarrassing things their sons have said about their willies.

And this anxious first-time mum admitted to cleaning her baby's toys after EACH playdate.

While this could be the reason children don't like you… and it's pretty brutal.
