A DIY whizz has revealed that she made her very own privacy fence on a budget, costing her just £105.
Now, thanks to the quick and easy DIY project, not only does she have more privacy from her neighbours, but she also has her very own garden oasis too.
Even better, the DIY enthusiast is expected to have saved around £1,400 on her fence.
Marian, who posts on TikTok under the username @marian.designerstouch, recently took to the video sharing platform to show off the step-by-step process of her fence build.
The Interior Designer said: “I’m so happy with this privacy fence!
“I decided I wanted a little more privacy from the neighbours.

“I didn't need to completely block the view to the neighbours, I just wanted to obstruct the view and provide a buffer.
“I feel like I have an outdoor oasis.
“I used 1×4 common boards in 12’ lengths. Home Depot cut down the boards to 11.5’ for free.”
Marian advised: “Make sure your first board is level, that is the most important step.

“I used a 1×2 board as a spacer between boards.
“I used a clear coat waterproof sealer – make sure to seal both sides.”
The savvy woman later revealed: “I spent $113 [£90] on the wood and $20 [£15] on the clear coat sealer.
“This was a quick and easy weekend project and right in time for summer!”
Marian proudly showed off her finished fence and it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 26,500 views.
It has 903 likes, 69 comments, 53 saves and 18 shares.
Social media users were left stunned at Marian’s privacy fence and were eager to compliment her DIY job in the comments.
One person said: “Looks great.”
Another added: “Awesome!”
A third commented: “Brilliant! It looks fantastic.”
According to PriveYourJob, the average cost to hire a tradesperson to supply and install 6ft fencing is typically around £1,500.
This price can change depending on the material of fencing you choose.
Wood fencing is used in the majority of gardens across the UK and you can expect to pay £1,500-£2,000 on average to install wooden garden fences.
