I’m a Costco super fan who swears by these bakery treats you can only get in stores – my guests can’t get enough

A COSTCO super fan is recommending the best bakery treats that the grocery store chain has to offer.

As one of the largest membership-based stores, Costco is known for its affordable prices on bulk-sized food items.

The Costco fanatic began by laying out several reasons why they love the store, from good wages for employees to the chain's commitment to keep item quality high.

"But one sector of the business that is often and surprisingly overlooked from a consumer and publicity standpoint? Its flourishing bakery section," Joey Skladany wrote in a recent Food52 article.

"Whether you’re on the hunt for bread, cake, cookies, or pie, Costco’s bakery rivals any mainstream grocery store."

While laying out seven items to consider from the bakery, the writer warned that they may not be available at all stores.

First on the list was plain cheesecake, which might not sound all that special at first, but this 12-inch round treat can serve a total of 16 people and is regarded as one of the best store-bought cheesecakes.

"It is outrageously creamy and dense, with a graham cracker base that keeps each slice sturdy while retaining its moist and crumbly softness," Skladany said.

Skladany also recommends using the cheesecake as a birthday cake, saying: "Frankly, the birthday wish you’ll probably be making is to have more Costco cheesecake."

Skladany said these yummy treats are perfect for breakfast.

"Somehow Costco has managed to accomplish the impossible with its almond danish," wrote Skladany, describing the treat's sweet marzipan filling and sugar coating.

"We’re confident that one bite—especially if paired with a freshly brewed dark roast coffee—will convince you."

Costco offers a variety of crumble cookies but Skladany touts raspberry as the best flavor.

"The tart, ruby red morsels also lend themselves flawlessly to baked confections, providing a harmonious balance between sweet and sour," he writes.

Another must-try is the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies, which Skladany describes as a "sweet, creamy bliss with a wonderfully crisp and crunchy texture."

One of Costco's best treats is the tuxedo chocolate mousse cake.

A basic chocolate cake base is topped with white chocolate and white chocolate mousse and crunch brownie chunks. The cake is then coated with chocolate ganache.

"Not even Willy Wonka himself could come up with a confection more cocoa-heavy," wrote Skladany.
