I'm a makeup artist and these are the most annoying things clients do – PLEASE put your phone away

IF you ask us, there's no greater treat than getting your makeup professionally done for a special occasion.

But if it's something you do regularly, then of course some of the excitement is going to wear off – like with anything in life.

Well if you find yourself in this latter category, then you might just want to take on board some feedback from makeup artist Millie.

In a viral TikTok video, the Oxford-based professional shared her ultimate "makeup artist pet peeves".

And let's just say, we'll be leaving our phones on silent and in our bags from now until forever.

Kicking off her list of clients' annoying habits, Millie confessed that she can't stand when people are late.

Although it can't always be helped, it means Millie has to rush through the appointment to avoid running over into the next one.

What's more, she then shared one of the cheeky comments she has to deal with both on social media and in the salon.

Yep you've guessed it – Millie's second pet peeve is when customers ask: "Can you do it any cheaper?"

Thirdly, Millie says she can't stand when customers are "on their phones the whole time".

On the one hand, it's downright rude – but on the other, it's also much harder to do someone's makeup when they're looking down and texting.

And don't even get us started on the customers who take actual lengthy phone calls in the middle of their makeup.

Finishing off the video, Millie mimed: "I might just go psycho."

Needless to say, Millie isn't the only makeup artist who has taken to TikTok to vent about their customers.

Backing up Millie's complaints, TikToker @alyjae4real said: "The product that we're putting on your faces is not cheap.

"The time we take to put the product on your faces is also not cheap. So what you're not going to do is shortchange me because you found me on Instagram."

Using the #petpeeves hashtag, Kristina Ruggerio admitted that she won't take clients who ask for a "natural look that's also smoky at the same time".

For more viral stories, this woman got a huge temporary Stormzy tattoo at festival – but is mortified by awkward blunder which left it on for MONTHS.

And this professional waxer has seen it all and begged clients to go the loo before coming in for their appointments.

Plus this nail artist revealed the designs she secretly hates and thinks are ugly.
