Aries – Cut your losses with someone who’s shady
Five of Swords, Queen of Cups, Seven of Swords
The Five of Swords is not a card to ignore and its message is: GO. There’s someone/thing/place in your life which has become draining, difficult, even impossible. Yet, you have battled on and persisted with it. Enough!
Queen of Cups and Seven of Swords hints that it’s something with a strong emotional pull, possibly a love interest, and that you’ve been treated with some shade. They haven’t been straight with you, they’re not being straight with you now, and their intentions are not altogether wholesome. Move on now, cut your losses before you get dragged in (or down) even further by all of this.
Furthermore, don’t make a big noise (as you’re prone to doing) about your plans. Just subtly, quietly disengage and move on to something more fruitful and rewarding. They’ll soon notice their loss. And even then, when they come crawling, don’t look back.
Taurus – You get out what you put in
Six of Coins, Four of Cups, Ten of Swords
Although never unkind, you can be a little reticent at putting in efforts over and above the norm with others. Sometimes this detached attitude leads you into dead ends or simply ‘meh’ phases where you wonder if the world remembers you.
But Taurus, the Six of Coins and Four of Cups strongly hint that you need to put more effort into your relationships if you want more attention and reward. Generosity is the release of our energy, freely, to the Universe which then comes back to us in the form of kindness or something else magic – some call this karma.
End your low-key rut, as shown by the Ten of Swords, by getting up off your arse and making a concerted and deliberate series of nice gestures, invitations and reaching-outs to those you love and like. A little bit of input from you will be met with a great deal of happy reaction by others. You’ve lost sight of how loved and liked you are; get back in the midst of those people you miss.
Gemini – Don’t worry, be happy
Nine of Swords, King of Cups, Eight of Wands
Nine of Swords is the tarot’s STRESS card, cropping up when we’re worrying away, privately, about an anxiety we face over our future. Kept within, this issue looms out of all proportion and is amplified beyond its realistic impact. Enough of this, Gemini. You’re notorious for not sharing your deepest thoughts with anyone other than your chilly Twin Self. And that isn’t helping you, because your Twin doesn’t have the answers either.
Your emotional balance can be restored by talking this over with whoever the King of Cups character is in your life – likely a water sign (Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer), a confidante and compassionate ally. Facing these fears in the cold light of day, with someone warm and who loves you, will lessen their hold over you, leaving you free to march forwards led by hope, not fear.
The Eight of Wands crops up because this self care serves a purpose: you need to be ready and alert as a new opportunity is afoot. Offers, invites and proposals will soon sweep in, possibly from overseas, helping you realise that you ARE progressing and, you know what, the future IS bright. Look forward with hope.
Cancer – Conflicted feelings over a blast from the past
Nine of Swords, The Lovers, Six of Cups
The Lovers and Six of Cups combine to suggest that you’re feeling divided and conflicted over something emotional which has arisen from your past – it COULD be an ex, or an old friend or colleague getting in touch, or the possibility of returning to someplace you once loved.
It’s causing you grief, as shown by the anxiety-laden Nine of Swords, and it’s not going to resolve itself. Facing this conundrum, identifying the feelings it arouses in you, and questioning why, will be a hugely cathartic process for you this week. It may well be, at the end of it, that nothing changes and no action is necessary… but you’ll feel a great deal more settled and like you have processed this issue once and for all.
Talk it through with someone neutral and trusted, release all of your angst and thoughts, don’t shy away from this sitch. A little bit of reflection and consideration will help you move on fully, and finally.
Leo – You still feel like moving on
Eight of Cups, King of Swords, Ace of Wands
The Eight of Cups is a repeat card from last week, and shows you’re still feeling a yearning to move in your life, change direction, strike a new pathway. This feeling isn’t going away. What to do, then? Well, the King of Swords arrives this week and he is all about future-proofing. Projecting ourselves forwards to see the destination that our current trajectory is taking us towards.
Do you like the look of it? Anything you’d change? OK, well this week is the window of opportunity to make those tweaks and adjustments, to set new wheels in motion. The Ace of Wands is your final card and represents new beginnings! Something you’ve had a taste of, which felt authentically ‘you’ can be brought into your life for good. It could be a new role, job, project, trip, adventure or hobby.
It puts you in ‘flow’ and inspires you, and all this fresh stimulus helps you to spot, more clearly, the other areas of your life where you’re not feeling fulfilled and content. It’s time for a few changes.
Virgo – Stop beating yourself up
Page of Cups, The Moon, Four of Wands
If any star sign has a tendency to self-sabotage and criticise their own every move… it’s Virgo. And you’ve been at it again. The Moon represents hidden anxieties and stresses, over-amplified fears and catastrophised situations which don’t exist. So, all of this whittling really serves no purpose. What have you got yourself in a big tizz about? It’s not worth it.
The Four of Wands reassures me that you’re honestly doing GREAT: working hard, looking after others, making progress. And, actually, you should be patting yourself on the back this week, taking a little time out for celebrations and treats. The Page of Cups hints that you’d benefit from being a little bit nicer to yourself, overall and ongoing, you know.
Make the tail-end of this month a time to plan some creative, inspiring, fun and imaginative outings, trips and activities for yourself this summer. You blossom when you’re as kind to yourself as you are to others, so a little less self-analysis and a little more self-care please.
Libra – Adjust your priorities – less is more
Ten of Swords, King of Swords, Two of Coins
The Two of Coins is all about being BUSY, having multiple duties and activities all going off at once, running around like a crazy thing… albeit not an unhappy one, because all of it is stuff you like doing, and believe in. However, Libra, you’re not built for manic times in the long term, you need to chill out and rest because you’re a mentally over-active Air sign. Without regular relaxation and social detoxes, Air signs can go a bit haywire.
The Ten and King of Swords combine to ask you to drop something, or a few things, this week. Examine your schedule. What in there is not really going to be THAT important in the long run?
Look ahead, and ask yourself what is helping you build a positive, bright future and you want to keep doing? Anything which doesn’t fit this bill, please question whether you can ditch, delegate or delay it. Less is more. You’ll feel lighter and brighter after this little audit.
Scorpio – #winning all week!
Seven of Wands, Queen of Swords, Four of Wands
You’re not one to be messed with, even under normal circumstances, but this week the Queen of Swords is in town to lend you even more VA-VA-VOOM. She is bold, direct, logical and a tad ruthless. She helps you cut to the heart of a tricky situation, see it for what it is, and deal with it accordingly. Fast and effective.
Seven of Wands indicates there is some rivalry and competition around you, right now which is entangled in this. And you kinda’ thrive on it, because sometimes you need this stimulus to bring out your Best Self. Scorpio, you’re a natural born fighter underneath all that glacial self-control.
Four of Wands (SPOILER ALERT) hints that you’ve got this one in the bag. You show them all what you’re made of and what you can do, and they are suitably impressed. Reward and recognition ensues, and it’s all good in the Scorpio ‘hood. Which, frankly, is always a relief for the other eleven star signs as a riled Scorpio is a dangerous thing…
Sagittarius – A relationship is going to transform
Knight of Wands, Queen of Wands, Death
A relationship you hold dear with a member of the opposite sex, who is a bit like your cosmic twin and partner in crime, is set to transform this week. Death is one of the tarot’s most potent cards and represents big changes, the kind that are coming come hell or high water. It doesn’t have to be bad, although it might feel a little turbulent along the way.
The trick here is to accept that change is necessary and go with the flow, holding on to your love and respect for that person throughout the process. Perhaps there is a control issue, a power struggle, a (suppressed) source of disagreement, a new adventure to be had… it’s something which can’t be denied and which also, in the long run, is for the best for both of you. Roll with it, Sagittarius, and trust that it’ll be alright in the end. So, if it’s not alright, then it’s just not the end yet!
Capricorn – Don’t get stuck in a moment
The Hanged Man, Four of Coins, Three of Swords
The Hanged Man is a card about ‘limbo’ – those times when we get hung up (literally) on something which keeps us standing still and stuck, even though we’re itching to progress. Your mindset needs to flip and your perspective to change, but it won’t happen overnight. Frustrating though that is, don’t rush or stress over it. Accept you are where you are.
The key to getting out of this rut is Four of Coins and Three of Swords. So don’t hold on to old energy, self-beliefs or grudges which no longer serve you. Accept that to get different, you might have to BE different.
Also, if someone has hurt or betrayed you in some way then remove them from your life, or at least their damaging influence as far as you can. Three of Swords tells us it’s OK and natural to be upset by what they’ve done, but then GET RID. You’re better than what they’ve served up for you. In doing so, you’ll feel differently, see things differently, and then – hey presto – the rut will be over.
Aquarius – Ask for help and support
Eight of Swords, Three of Wands, Seven of Coins
Aquarius, you’re a self-sufficient and freedom-loving character, intent on striking your own unique pathway in this life. Power to you! And yet the Eight of Swords and Three of Wands combine to suggest this ‘my way or the high way’ thinking is leading you into a dead end right now.
The Eight of Swords represents the mental prisons we need to escape from in order to progress, and the Three of Wands is about getting further faster with the help and support of others. You need an injection of group energy, of fresh advice and guidance, even a favour or ‘leg-up’ in some way. Don’t be proud and standoffish, because people love to help.
Seven of Coins hints that this favour or advice will propel you forwards quite radically, and in a slightly different direction than what you had planned. It’s all good. Accelerate and get past this little glitch by leaning on those around you this week – they’re there to help.
Pisces – A long-term dream-come-true awaits
Six of Coins, Ace of Cups, Nine of Coins
What lovely cards this week! Something magical is brewing, Pisces, and it’s all about your long-term security and stability, probably to do with where and how you live. Six of Coins hints at acts of generosity, windfalls, investments paying off… the Universe being giving and kind so that we receive an important and positive ‘leg-up’ in life.
Ace of Cups is the start of something new, maybe a relationship, maybe a project or investment which has high emotional stakes for us. A fresh beginning which makes us feel fantastic, renewing our appreciation for life itself. You’ll be a bit teary this week at the prospect of what’s ahead – in a good way, I promise!
The Nine of Coins suggests this is to do with your long-term security and will be a lasting and forever improvement to life. Maybe a new home, or an improvement to your current living circumstances, maybe a new love or a deepened commitment to your current one. Whatever it is, you will feel safe, optimistic and hopeful for wonderful times ahead. And, rightly so!
