Prince Harry seen on dog walk as he breaks cover for first time after unleashing explosive claims William attacked him | The Sun

PRINCE Harry has broken cover for the first time since unleashing explosive claims that Prince William attacked him.

The Duke of Sussex was seen walking his dog alone on a California beach after accusing his brother of "knocking him to the floor" during an argument about Meghan Markle.

Harry, 38, looked serious and deep in thought as he strolled with his black Labrador Paula along a footpath by a public beach near his luxury home in Montecito, California on Wednesday.

The duke, decked out in a rain jacket and wellingtons, was snapped loading his pooch into the boot of his Range Rover after playing fetch.

Just four hours after the exclusive pictures were taken, an excerpt from Harry’s new book revealed claims that William, 40, “attacked” him after calling Megan, 41, “rude” and “difficult” during an argument.

Harry alleges William "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor" in an extract of the book reported by the Guardian.

  • Harry called his therapist instead of Meghan after the confrontation with his brother
  • Charles pleaded with Harry and William not to 'make his final years a misery'
  • The Duke of Sussex revealed the nicknames he uses with William

The Duke of Sussex, 38, claims he was left with a visible injury to his back following the argument in 2019 at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he was living at the time.

Harry says William was already "piping hot" when he arrived wanting to talk about their deteriorating relationship.

According to Harry, it turned into a shouting match as William complained about his wife Meghan, calling her "rude" and "abrasive".

William insisted he was trying to help.

The Duke of Sussex responded: "Are you serious? Help me? Sorry – is that what you call this? Helping me?”

Harry claims he then poured William a glass of water and said: "Willy, I can’t speak to you when you’re like this."

He then says his brother called him "another name" and then "came at me".

Harry claims: "It all happened so fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.

"I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

He says William told him to hit him back but he refused, and so his brother left "looking regretful, and apologised".

William then told his brother not to tell Meghan about the confrontation, according to Harry.

It comes as the bombshell book accidentally went on sale early in Spain – and we got our hands on one of the first copies.

A customer grabbed two Spanish editions of Spare from the shelves for 22.90 euros (£20.23).

He tipped us off and we jetted out to snap up one of the hardbacks – which is 557 pages long.

The memoir is entitled En La Sombra, which translates to "In the Shadow", with "Príncipe Harry" written at the top of the cover.

Inside, it says "Para Meg, Archie y Lili… y, for supuesto, mi madre" – which means "for Meg, Archie and Lili… and, of course, my mother".
