Teen surprises her prom date by walking for the first time in ten months

Twitter user Morgan (@aeonianlife), from Utah, has been in a wheelchair for the past 10 months after suffering with conversion disorder following an operation.

She decided to make prom night extra special for date Tarik by greeting him at the door standing in her stunning dress.

In the heartwarming clip, the door opens and a suit-clad Tarik shrieks in shock as he sees his date walk slowly towards him.

After taking a moment to process what he is seeing, he then rushes to hug his date shouting “no, how did you do that?!”

Morgan captioned the beautiful moment: “After not being able to walk with my own two legs for 10 months… I surprised my prom date with this.”

According to Medline Plus, conversion disorder is a mental condition where a person has blindness, paralysis, or other nervous system (neurologic) symptoms that cannot be explained by medical evaluation.

It seems the sweet video has tugged at the heartstrings of many who have seen the clip, as it has racked up 11million videos since it was posted on April 28.

Morgan also shared three shots from the special day showing her cuddled up to her date, whom she calls her “one of her best supporters”.

Another clip appears to show the night having an even more magical end by Morgan being named Prom Queen.

Moved Twitter users have shared their thoughts on viewing the video.

One said: “Ok, so I just balled all over this! His reaction is priceless, and you're gorgeous.”

Another wrote: “I cried. I am so so proud that you were able to accomplish this! My situation is definitely not comparable to yours, but I cant wait until mt husband sees how much progress I've made with my own recovery.”

And one gushed: “I’m crying this is amazing! His reaction was soo cute.”
