The best dinner meal deals for Valentine’s Day 2020 from your local supermarket – The Sun

IF you are planning a night of romance for Valentine’s Day, look no further than your local supermarket.

Some stores are offering meal deals for two including steak and wine for under a tenner.

To whet your appetite ahead of Friday, we asked mum-of-two Lynsey Hope to rate their deals for value, taste and romance, and give an overall score out of ten.

The deal: Beef steaks with garlic butter, king prawns, McCain Shake Shake fries and a vegetable selection.

Price: £9.25

We tried: All of the above.

Verdict: “The beef steaks looked underwhelming, but the meat was delicious and the fries were yummy, a nice treat.

“It was a very good price for the meal.

“It felt like a nice, traditional romantic treat.

“I’d have preferred this deal if it had offered wine and a dessert, as many of the other supermarkets now do, but selected bottles of wine will be on sale for £5 all week.”
