On Monday, Kim Kardashian announced that her shapewear and clothing company, Skims, is collaborating with Fendi on a limited-edition collection. (Take deep, calming breaths, people.) It will launch officially on Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. EST on fendiskims.com and at select Fendi stories. From the initial imagery it looks like, in addition to shapewear, it’ll include hosiery, dresses, accessories, and more. And, let me tell you, the pics will definitely get you excited for it to drop. There are gorgeous bold hues, rich textures, and a unique hybrid logo that incorporates both the brands’ names.
According to the press release, it draws inspiration from the archival 1979 Fendi collection presented by the late Karl Lagerfeld. Fendi artistic director, Kim Jones, explained how the partnership came to be in the press release:
“Both FENDI and SKIMS have a cultural power very different from each other, but equally as strong,” Kim Kardashian said in the same press release.“We share a desire to push boundaries, think differently and challenge convention which is why we found so much common ground collaborating on this collection together.” Kim launched the size-inclusive brand, which offers sizing between XXS and 4X, in 2019, and it has since expanded into loungewear and other clothing.
This designer collab announcement comes a month after a v steamy shoot featuring Kourtney Kardashian and Megan Fox modeling for the cotton collection, so we can probably expect even buzzier things coming before the year is over.
