Weekly horoscope for October 4 – 10 your week ahead according to Kerry King and her tarot cards – The Sun

EVERY Sunday, our resident Tarotscope reader Kerry King will be revealing what surprises, challenges and excitement awaits you in the week ahead.

Kerry has been practising tarot readings for the last 20 years, starting from reading for friends to amassing an international client list.

Using her strong intuition and deep knowledge and understanding of the horoscope, she is able to provide accurate and encouraging predictions for the coming days.

Here’s her predictions for YOUR star sign…

ARIES (Ace of Swords, The Devil, Page of Wands)

The powerful combination of the Ace of Swords and The Devil reveals that you’re ready to own up to a bad habit you long to be rid of.

We all fall into repeat patterns of thinking or behaviour which damage us over time, but perhaps provide something we need or seek in the short term.

It’s hard to change. Many people suddenly feel a “click” in their head, which triggers the urge to STOP what they’re doing and fix it. And you will experience that this week.

It starts with recognising what need or hole this habit is fulfilling, because that is the root cause of this, and where you need to focus your energy on solutions.

Find an alternative way to satisfy whatever your bad habit was doing for you.

The Page of Wands asks you trial lots of different ways and means of addressing this lack or need. Experiment with different approaches and activities, research it, ask people for advice.

Throw enough at this, and something will stick, and will help you make a lasting, positive change.

TAURUS (Two of Cups, Death, Nine of Wands)

Whatever you think is unfixable in an important relationship, please believe me when I say that it IS fixable.

The Two of Cups and Death show that you’re going through changes in a relationship you really care about- maybe romantic, maybe a very close friendship.

Things are shifting, and it’s been uncomfortable at times, and you wish it could just go back to how it was… Well, that is impossible, but it doesn’t mean things can’t actually get to an even better place.

This autumn, focus on fixing it, on accepting the changes and adapting to them. The Nine of Wands reassures you that it isn’t going to be as hard or challenging as you think.

You have blown some of this out of proportion, probably because it matters so much to you, and you also don’t like change. Running away, ignoring it, suppressing your feelings- all of that isn’t working and you’re starting to feel bad about it.

Tell them how you feel, share your anxieties, ask them how they’re doing, and work on building your honesty and intimacy back up again.

This is fixable, I promise.

GEMINI (King of Wands, Eight of Swords, Ten of Wands)

I feel like you’re expending an enormous amount of energy on something, or someone, but it’s not paying back or creating the results you want, and *NEWSFLASH* I don’t think it’s going to either, so stop and rethink this.

The King and Ten of Wands show you going at it, full force, throwing your whole weight behind this one objective or goal. You are pushing hard, too hard perhaps, and nevertheless, nothing is happening.

Gemini, step back and take a breather.

The Eight of Swords shows that it’s not the amount of effort that is the issue, it’s the direction you’re focussing it in. Your objective is flawed, your goal is not right for you, your idea doesn’t work.

I know that might be hard to admit, but the sooner you do, the sooner you can address it and fix it and get back to work again- with much better results.

Unpick your efforts, look at what you’re doing, ask for feedback, examine where you’ve used false logic or are covering up your true desires.

Something needs fixing within you and your ambition before you can manifest it fully. Take the time to rethink this.

CANCER (Knight of Coins, The High Priestess, Temperance)

The concealing nature of the Knight of Coins and The High Priestess make me wonder if you have a secret, Cancer? You are the zodiac’s most secretive sign (apart from maybe Scorpio), so it wouldn’t be unusual.

However, this one may even come as news to you!

It’s something you’re nursing, deep down, and maybe aren’t quite ready to face or address just yet.

I think, with the presence of Temperance, it represents a change of heart, an emerging outlook or belief which will, in practice, lead to bigger changes in your life.

And maybe that’s why you’re keeping it down there, in the emotional depths, because you’re not sure you want to go making more changes right now.

I get it, but this truth is waiting for its time in the sun, and I don’t think it will be denied.

Spend time, this week, reflecting, meditating and relaxing.

Let your mind be calm, still and peaceful, and this insight or idea will come up for air.

It’s nothing scary, it’s nothing negative. Let yourself be informed by your inner voice, it has something important to tell you.

LEO (Eight of Coins, Knight of Swords, Six of Wands)

Whatever you’re working on, Leo, please believe in yourself and your efforts because all of this hard work is going to pay off handsomely.

The Eight of Coins sees you with your nose to the grindstone, putting the hours in, making it work even when it doesn’t.

You’ve come a long way in this project or activity or relationship, and you’re not giving up on it now, just because the going has gotten tougher.

The Knight of Swords shows there has been conflict or stress, and you’ve risen to the challenge and pushed onwards.

I applaud your tenacity, and that is one of your super powers after all.

The Six of Wands is a good omen that all this effort is worthwhile. This is exactly where you’re meant to be at, and exactly what you’re meant to be doing.

Success awaits, and a breakthrough is closer than you might think. Don’t give up, keep going, keep working hard.

This is all going to be so very worth it.

VIRGO (Queen of Wands, Three of Coins, Justice)

Play nice, Virgo, because the Universe is watching to see what you do in this situation, and karma is also paying attention.

Justice and the Three of Coins reassure you that if you do the right thing (and you KNOW what that is) then you will be vindicated and rewarded down the line.

Don’t take the easy option, short cut or tempting pathway now, because later on you may regret it.

Take the high road, be the bigger person, set an example. You love obeying your conscience anyway, and you’re too moral and intelligent to let yourself wander too far from the path.

The Queen of Wands shows that this behaviour will have a lasting effect on your inner confidence and external reputation.

People will notice your good intentions and reaction, and remember it as an example of your worthy character.

You are a good person, Virgo, and you mustn’t let a testing situation or relationship drag you down in the gutter. You are better than this… show them all.

LIBRA (The Hierophant, Three of Coins, Strength)

Stand by your beliefs, Libra, and if you feel you’re doing the right thing then keep on doing it, no matter what.

The Hierophant and Strength reveal an internal tussle for doing what’s right and best.

You are questioning your own motives (you do have a “blind spot”, you know, where you justify things as being “right” when actually you, dare I say it, really mean “right for you”). Challenge yourself on this blind spot, ask people their opinion and listen carefully.

Unpick what your motives truly are, and know yourself well.
Then press on.

Either as you were, or with a tweak or two that brings more fairness or transparency into things.

The Three of Coins shows that others are genuinely impressed by the lengths you’ll go to, to promote what you think is the right pathway.

Even if they disagree with your outlook, they’ll admire your tenacity and courage.

Libra, this is your week to stand up for what you believe in, and be truly “seen” for it.

SCORPIO (Ace of Wands, Four of Wands, Ace of Cups)

Really positive cards this week, Scorpio, so get brewing something magical and fulfilling in your life.

The Ace of Cups shows that there will be a creative, inspiring, heart-warming new “birth” in your life this week- that might be literal (ATB if so), or it might be a new relationship, friendship, project or opportunity.

Grab it with both hands! The Ace and Four of Wands hint at it being something creative or work-related.

A new opportunity to shine at what you do best (lots of things), and show people your true potential.

This is something you’ve done before, and genuinely loved, it felt authentically “you”, and you’re going to get another chance to activate it.

I also think this could lead to great success and reward, as the Four of Wands is a “going up in the world” kind of card. It could also be linked to an improvement or change of home and location, maybe one that is linked to work or study.

The world’s your oyster this week, Scorpio, so make sure you feel ready, willing and able to size whatever wonderful opportunities float your way.

Say YES, and broaden your horizons.

SAGITTARIUS (Two of Wands, Seven of Wands, King of Cups)

Competition makes you tick, it gets your blood pumping and often brings out the best of your abilities and strengths.

You just don’t like operating in a vacuum (working from home, for instance).

The Seven of Wands and King of Cups combine to reveal an emotive and challenging (but positive) opportunity to compete and pit yourself against people you admire is on the horizon.

Maybe it’s a job offer, maybe it’s a project, maybe it’s a literal rivalry.

However, the Two of Wands reveals you’ll feel, for some reason, in two minds about it.

Your usual enthusiasm and gusto for getting stuck in just won’t kick in like it naturally and usually does.

Sagittarius, don’t despair. It’s just “ring rust”. Force yourself to enter the race and join the throng.

Even if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em, because they’ll make you go further faster than you would do solo.

CAPRICORN (Knight of Cups, The Sun, Page of Wands)

Romantic liaisons for you, Cap, in the week ahead, so get ready to feel the pleasurable sting of Cupid’s arrow!

The Knight of Cups and The Sun combine to tell a wonderful love story about being swept off your feet and dazzled by someone.

Expect big Date Nights, exciting plans and adventures, a sense of being adored and admired above everyone else.

The Sun is the tarot’s most positive card and is shining a light on this area of your life.

So, do whatever you can to encourage its glow.

If you’re single, put some effort into mingling.

If you’re attached, then be the one to make that Date Night special, and to think about your plans for the future.

Dream up some big ideas.

The Page of Wands shows that all of this will make you feel a bit young and silly again. And why not? You work so hard, Cap, and you’re a strong, serious type.

It’s good to let your hair down, and revel in the gaze of the admirer. Enjoy yourself!

AQUARIUS (Four of Cups, The Chariot, The Empress)

I feel that you might be getting frustrated, dissatisfied, or downright bored with the state of your closest relationship/s, Aquarius, and some of your feelings here are misdirected.

The Four of Cups shows you’ve lost sight of the strengths, advantages and gifts under your own nose, and are maybe taking things for granted and not putting much effort in yourself.

Relationships take work, yes they do.

The Empress shows that you do love this person (it could be your partner, it could be a close friend or family member), and that the love is genuine, but maybe you’ve had better days in the past than you’re having now.

And this, being the cerebral creature that you are, makes you question everything.

The Chariot is a nudge that you need to move things on. This is just a glitch, a rut, a blockage, and you CAN get past it, with effort and focus.

Fix the issues, discuss the mood, plan something distracting and exciting that you both enjoy, put effort into being kind and complimentary.

In just seven days of concerted focus, you could have things back on track here.

PISCES (Page of Cups, Eight of Wands, Six of Cups)

This card combination makes me wonder if a childhood friend or connection will re-emerge in your life this week, with pleasing and joyful consequences.

The Eight of Wands is about news and communication, unexpected invites and gossip.

The Page of Cups is about loving friends and can hint at children.

The Six of Cups is the nostalgia card, and reminds us of loving and happy relationships we’ve had in the past, and that maybe their day in the sun is coming around again.

Is there anyone you’d like to reconnect with? Take a wander down Memory Lane, and notice where your attention falls.

Perhaps you could instigate this reunion, take the first step, reach out. Why not? What’s to lose?

Nothing. Reinstall someone from your past whom you still miss and think about. Life’s too short not to.
