‘Bachelor’ Contestant Dead: Former Reality Star Cristy Caserta, 38, Dead After Alleged Seizure

Tragedy has struck the ‘Bachelor’ nation. Cristy Caserta, who competed on Season 15 of the long-running reality competition, died unexpectedly after suffering an apparent seizure. She was only 38.

Cristy Caserta, 38, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 4 while attending class in Sunrise, Florida, according to TMZ. The former Bachelor contestant suddenly fell forward at the desk where she was sitting, experiencing an apparent seizure. Her shocked and alarmed classmates immediately called 911. She reportedly went into cardiac arrest, according to TMZ, as emergency responders arrived to administer CPR. She was rushed to the nearby Westside Regional Medical Center, where they attempted to save her life. Sadly, those efforts were in vain.

What happened? Cops, according to TMZ, do not suspect foul play and no drugs were found on Cristy’s person. It appears she died as a result of the sudden seizure, but there are so many questions as to what may have caused such an attack. An autopsy will be performed on Oct. 5 to determine the official cause of death, and perhaps shed light on this mysterious and heartbreaking tragedy.

Cristy was introduced to the world when she appeared on Season 15 of The Bachelor. That was the season where Brad Womack had a second shot at finding love. Sadly, there wasn’t a spark between him and Cristy, as she was sent home the first week.

We’ll continue to update this post with any more details, as they are made available. In the meantime, our thoughts are with Cristy’s family, friends and loved ones during this time of loss.
