Elly and Chloe’s first date threatened by love rival in Neighbours

For anyone who’s been championing #Chelly, it’s time to do a little cheer as Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) and Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) are set to finally go on their very first date in Neighbours. Chloe stands to get everything she’s been longing for, for months now. But will things be that simple?

She has given up tiptoeing around her feelings in and gone in for the kill, inviting Elly on a super romantic date.

But then the course of true love never did run smooth.

Elly is left shocked by Chloe’s suggestion they give a relationship a go, but before she has time to think she finds herself swept up in a huge work drama. She’s being labelled an irresponsible teacher by a parent who’s out for blood, leaving Elly on the verge of resigning.

But when Kirsha and the woman’s own daughter go out of their way to save their beloved teacher, Elly finds herself on a high. Life suddenly seems pretty good and she makes a big decision – marching straight around to Chloe to say yes, she wants that date!

Chloe and Pierce end up working closely together on the Music Festival, and with their close proximity to each other Pierce can’t help but wonder why she’s gone cold on him. He had his chance, and she explains it’s because she has her sights set on someone else. When he sees her planning her date with Elly he’s floored. Could he be planning trouble for the new happy couple?

Aaron is afraid for his sister, she is so over-the-moon excited about her date that he sees only hurt in her future. He confronts Elly, telling her not to use Chloe to test her sexuality, leaving Elly stunned.

Their date ends up being over-the-top romantic, so Elly decides to wear her heart on her sleeve – she never expected to question her sexuality, and she isn’t sure what it all means. But when Chloe tells her she doesn’t need to label anything, she’s left feeling a spark, and the two women share a passionate kiss. Looks like the start of something pretty beautiful for these two.

Scenes air from Monday 12th August at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
