Kate and William's beloved dog

Some royal fans may have already clocked that the video pays tribute to the family’s beloved dog, Lupo, who sadly died last year age nine.

When Kate, 39, and William, 38, sit on beach Lupo makes a brief appearance by their side. The cocker spaniel the couple called the “heart of the family” features in the video.

Lupo holds a special place in Kate's heart as he was bred from her parents Michael and Carole's own dog Ella. He was born in a litter back in 2011 and was given to the royal couple as Christmas gift that same year.

Lupo appeared in several photographs alongside the family and was also the inspiration of a children's book called The Adventures of Lupo the Royal Dog: The Secret of Windsor Castle, written by Aby King.

The canine companion was so loved by the family that Prince William, who referenced the dog in his first official interview after welcoming his son George in 2013.

Prince William told CNN: "For me, Catherine, and now little George, are my priorities. And Lupo."

The clothing

The kids are all wearing wellies, suggesting they really do spend a lot of their time as a family enjoying the great outdoors.

Some fans also noticed that George is wearing a Regatta fleece – which costs just £12 on the high street. Meanwhile, Kate opted for an £299 jacket from Irish premium brand Dubarry.

Hands-on parents

Body language expert Judy James analysed the video and believed there was nothing performative about the tactile love shared between the family, and guesses Kate and William are very hands on parents.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she shared: "If all the tactile behaviour and loving glances between Kate and William were out of the ordinary occurrences and if the couple weren’t normally the hands-on, playful parents we see here, their children wouldn’t be acting so naturally and adorably, being chased, picked up, tickled and played with in a way that suggests this is very usual behaviour in the Cambridge household."

The expert added that the video does suggest that reports saying George is already being prepped for his future role as King are true.

She continued: "All three children seem to be developing different personalities and the way that George looks rather grown-up, thoughtful and slightly reserved here suggests the coaching from William is paying off for the future heir to the throne.

The couple were overwhelmed by the kind comments sent from the public after the video shot by videographer Will Warr quickly went viral online last night.

"Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary," the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge captioned the sweet video. "We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W & C."
