Gwyneth Paltrow selling ‘climate neutral’ Goop bed that costs £45k and promises ‘out of this world’ sleep

Gwyneth Paltrow never fails to surprise when it comes to her ludicrous gift recommendations and her latest offer is just as outlandish.

All in the name of a good night's sleep, the movie star turned lifestyle guru has teamed up with a millennial appropriate brand named Avocado to sell beds – for £45,000.

You read that right, the Goop founder, who lives for luxury when it comes to wellness, has gushed about the eco-friendly "climate-neutral" piece of furniture that comes made to order, and will take two to three months to arrive.

She has promised that even though it's "ridiculous but awesome", the bed, which you can buy the mattress alone for a snip at £25,000, will give you an "out of this world" night of sleep.

Taking to her Goop website, the 48 year old LA based star, who is reportedly worth £77m ($100m), spoke about her Goop x Avocado partnership, alongside a sweet snap of her with her dog on the bed.

"We applied incredibly luxurious, ethically sourced GOTS-certified organic materials to a need that’s as essential as food, air, and water: sleep.

“Rest assured, this is the trip to the moon of beds. Its custom support is the result of unparalleled craftsmanship, made using a circular manufacturing process that’s as good for us as it is for the planet. So if it’s an out-of-this-world experience on a climate-neutral bespoke bed you’re after, this is it. And yes, we know. It’s ridiculous – but awesome.”

The Oscar winner, who said she is semi-retired from acting, added: “The outcome of our first-ever product collaboration is a standard-shattering, certified-organic, made-to-order sleep system that beautifully blurs the lines between next-level comfort and sustainability.

"We didn’t have to travel far to make our mattress dreams come true: Each one is meticulously crafted over hundreds of hours in Avocado’s workshop right here in Los Angeles.

If you follow the link over to Avocado's site you will be able to place your orders for your custom-made bed, but not until you scroll down to the end of the page to discover the cost.

A complete bed which includes the topper, mattress, foundation, and base will set you back £44,894 ($58,000) but if you're looking to cut back on costs, you can order the mattress on its own, for £24,769 ($32,000).
