Two become five! Royal fans have been sharing their memories of the royal wedding…as the country prepares for Prince Harry’s nuptials with Meghan Markle next month

Kensington Palace acknowledged the outpouring of messages, which has seen many people reminiscing about how they spent the day, with a cute photo of the couple from the day.

The Palace chose the famous shot of the couple driving down the Mall in William’s blue Aston Martin Volante with the roof down and the car festooned with balloons.

One royal fan, @puredakotaa, wrote: ‘OMG, how time flies. Iremember that day well, I was at home so Icould watch everything.’

Another, @Princesnr316, praised the impact the couple had had on the country, saying: ‘I’m proud of the effects and changes you’ve brought to the UK. Stay blessed.’

@merinsdelacruz added: ‘Wishing the Duke and Duchess a very happy 7th wedding anniversary! I was 13 and I stayed at home all day watching the wedding!’

How will the couple celebrate their seventh anniversary? With a six-day-old son and two children under five, Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, the couple are unlikely to find much time for romance.

The traditional gifts granted to one’s partner on the seventh anniversary of marriage in the UK is copper or wool, so perhaps a nice jumper is in the offing or an on-trend copper kettle.

More likely the couple might find some time to sleep. The Duke of Cambridge performed his first royal engagement since Louis’ birth on Wednesday as he attended the Anzac Day service alongside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

However, it seems that William had been a victim of sleepless nights as he battled heavy eyelids at Westminster Abbey – something than many parents identified with.
