Male stars feud over their facial hair on Twitter

One mustache to rule them all.

Robert Downey Jr. has sparked an all-out battle royale amongst the facial hair-sporting men of Hollywood with his latest tweet.

“Ok this time it’s real,” the actor, 53, wrote alongside a photo split of himself, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans all sporting a Chevron-style ‘stache, also known as “The Tom Selleck.”

“Who wore it best?” the “Iron Man” star asked.

The side-by-side features the iconically cringeworthy photo of Evans, 37, at the opening of the play “Lobby Hero,” Downey at a Tokyo press conference for “Iron Man” in 2008 and a throwback photo of Ruffalo, 51 — the latter of which the actor tweeted himself on March 7, asking, “I mustache … do you like this?”

While Evans and Ruffalo have yet to weigh in on Downey’s call to arms, “Daredevil” star Vincent D’Onofrio, 59, had some thoughts on the matter, tweeting out a selfie of his own horseshoe-style facial hair with the caption, “Now this is a mustache!”

Meanwhile, Ruffalo has struck up a feud of his own with Jeremy Renner. The “Foxcatcher” star tweeted an image of himself sporting a mohawk strikingly similar to Renner’s widely mocked hairstyle from “Avengers: Endgame,” writing, “It’s been 15 years since the release of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and 0 years since @renner4real stole my look.”

It seems Tom Selleck might have to join Twitter just to settle this dispute once and for all.
