Naomi Campbell always looks expensive, no matter where she goes — even on the subway.
The supermodel, 48, posted a behind-the-scenes photo from the Valentino pre-fall 2019 campaign, wearing a green sequin cape while waiting for the C train. Expertly posing, the glamorous shot does include a bit of the sequined dress train dragging across the dirty platform.
Fans quickly flooded the pic with hysterical comments. “I would have lost my mind if I saw you waiting for the damn C train,” one person said. “Imagine you walking on the C train platform to get to school, like I also do, and see f—king NAOMI CAMPBELL posing in a designer gown against the column. I WOULD FAINT,” another wrote.
The yet-to-be-released image is not the first time that Campbell has made headlines wearing Pierpaolo Piccioli’s designs. She made jaws drop at the Valentino show in Paris in January when she closed the show in a sheer black gown.
This particular cape also has a stunning history — it appears to be the same one that Jennifer Lopez wore in InStyle’s December issue with nothing underneath.
Despite the shocking photo, one real New Yorker posed the question we’d all like to ask Naomi: “Did you take the local or express?”
