The author of Fifty Shades Of Grey is releasing her first novel since her lucrative erotic trilogy, it was announced today.
E L James has promised fans a ‘thrilling, sensual tale’ about the sexual exploits of a privileged English aristocrat and a ‘mysterious and beautiful’ woman who arrives in London.
The Mister, which will be released on 16 April, looks set to offer similar thrills to the Fifty Shades novels, which have sold more than 150 million copies and made James a household name.

Announcing the novel today, James said: ‘I’m so excited to finally get this passionate new romance out into the world. It’s a Cinderella story for the 21st century.
‘Maxim and Alessia have led me on a fascinating journey and I hope that my readers will be swept away by their thrilling and sensual tale, just as I was while writing, and that, like me, they fall in love with them.’
The novel is set in London, Cornwall and Eastern Europe.

The film adaptations of James’s steamy novels, starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, made more than a billion dollars at the box office.
It spawned remarkable interest in lingerie and sex toys, with Ann Summers reporting a 78 per cent rise in profits year-on-year after the first book was published.
