While many families use Christmas as an opportunity to enjoy the comfort of their own homes, some of Britain’s most elite families decided to jet off on lavish jaunts.

Socialites and entrepreneurs ditched the drab UK weather for sun-kissed destinations and snowy climes to finish 2019 in style.

Talita von Furstenberg, 20, daughter of the iconic designer, headed to the mountains for a cosy winter retreat with boyfriend Rocco Brignone.

Meanwhile the Branson clan enjoyed a family reunion on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, which is owned by business magnate Richard, 69.
