Woman fuming as date uses his mum’s cooking as an excuse to meet his ex instead

A woman was left fuming as her date used his mum's cooking as an excuse so he could meet up with his ex instead.

The 21-year-old named Emma took to Twitter to vent to her 815 followers about the situation is a post that's now gone viral.

She said she had meant to be going round a guy's house, however he said things were delayed by his mum's cooking error.

However, he was actually sneakily meeting up with his ex-girlfriend for a walk instead.

The post read: "Imagine this, you're meant to be going his and he said his dinner weren’t cooked because their mum left the oven on 50°C so to come after…

"So I’m driving down the MAIN road and he’s on a nice lil walk with his ex bird you actually can’t write it. It’s the dinner bit for me."

Emma then shared a Snapchat message from the lad where he told her: "Maybe 30 mins, 45 mins xxx."

She asked: "Long, why so long," to which he replied: "Because [I'm] waiting on dinner, mum put chicken in and only had it on 50 degrees ahahah."

The tweet has now racked up more than 791,000 retweets and more than 33,000 likes as many people were left in stitches over the situation.

One replied: "I didn’t even know a oven had 50c. What a f**k boy. You deserve better hun x."

While another added: "If it makes u feel any better, I once got stood up on a date because he was ‘rushing’ so much to meet me that he didn’t have time to cook his chicken properly and it made him ‘really ill’ 🙂 when I checked snap maps, he was out clubbing."

A third asked her: "Please tell us you pulled over?" As she replied: "I did and they walked off down an alley."

Meanwhile another woman went viral on Twitter this week as her date asked her to refund him £25 after she ended things with him.

Alex Colboth, of Milwaukee, US, had tried things out with her Tinder match – who had paid for every date – but realised he wasn't right for her.

But instead of taking it on the chin, the lad decided to ask for half of they money back he had spent on their three dates – saying it was "only fair."
