A woman who lost nearly 100 pounds has gone viral on TikTok after revealing her incredible physical transformation — and fans can’t believe it’s the same person. 

Jasmine Bell, 20, from Chicago, spent years trying to lose weight, attempting everything from fasting and counting calories to taking diet pills. Her desire to be happy in her own skin inspired her to overhaul her unhealthy lifestyle. 

Growing up, she was called ‘fat’ and ‘ugly,’ and other hurtful comments. She recalled once being told: ‘I would date you if you were skinnier.’ 

She weighed 264 pounds when she started her journey three years ago. By focusing on eating a healthy diet and becoming more active, she lost 88 pounds and is now a college athlete.

Bell has been sharing videos detailing her transformation on TikTok because she wants to inspire others who have struggled with their weight. 

A clip that was posted earlier this month shows her before and after her weight loss, starting with her lying in bed when she was nearly 100 pounds heavier. The footage then cuts to her in the same position following her physical transformation. 

‘I kinda just shocked myself making this,’ she captioned the video, which has been viewed more than 1.2 million times. 

A number of TikTok users were stunned by her new look, with one person commenting: ‘Ain’t no way.’

‘Who was the first person?’ another asked, while someone else added: ‘JAW DROPPED AND DISLOCATED [wow].’ 

One fan insisted that Bell must be receiving messages from people, saying,’I always thought you were really cool,’ and she confirmed she was, responding, ‘Facts.’  

Bell credits her success to completing changing her lifestyle, recalling how she used to eat poorly and get little exercise prior to her weight loss journey.  

‘I was very insecure about my weight and had no confidence in myself,’ Jasmine told Jam Press. ‘I was unhealthy — mentally and physically.

Bell kicked off her transformation by doing cardio, and her newfound love of fitness led her to become a college athlete 


‘Once I started losing weight, my exercise consisted of high-intensity, full-body workouts, which were an hour long,’ Bell said 

‘My diet before consisted of a lot of junk food, such as fast food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I ate very big portions and wasn’t active at all.’

Bell said she kickstarted her weight loss by focusing on physical activity.  

‘At the beginning of my journey, I focused on doing strictly cardio to help drop the weight faster,’ she explained. ‘I incorporated weights, then got into basketball, which was a huge part of losing the weight.

‘Once I started losing weight, my exercise consisted of high-intensity, full-body workouts, which were an hour long.

Breakfast: Six eggs, four slices of bacon, three pancakes, and hash browns

Snack: Grilled Cheese and chips

Lunch: Two packs of ramen noodles and two hot dogs

Dinner: Two grilled cheese and more ramen

Snacks: Chips and cookies

She also drank lots of sugary drinks and no water

Breakfast: three egg whites scrambled, three turkey sausages, and sliced strawberries with honey

Snack: 1/2 cup of trail mix

Lunch: Caesar salad with a side of either steak, grilled chicken, or fish

Snack: Granola bar

Dinner: Turkey and cheese using a spinach tortilla or another salad with a side of grilled meat

Two glasses of water before every meal 


Bell used to eat fast food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but now she relies on homecooked meals like salads with grilled meat 

Bell shared that she is overwhelmed by the outpour of love and support on her video and believes she’s inspired many


‘It made me feel like I made an impact on people struggling with losing weight,’ she said 

‘Now, I eat homecooked meals, with a focus on portion control,’ she added. ‘I’ve cut down on carbs and eat cleaner, non-processed food, as well as more vegetables.’  

Bell shared that she is overwhelmed by the outpour of love and support on her video and believes she’s inspired many.

‘It made me feel like I made an impact on people struggling with losing weight,’ she explained. ‘I wanted to show that it’s possible to achieve anything you put your mind to and provide guidance that felt helpful for losing weight.

‘[My advice] is to take it one step at a time. You can start off by cutting off one thing, instead of everything [at once] and work your way up. Gradually incorporate exercise and portion control into your daily routine.

‘I am happier in my skin now and my confidence has grown so much — I love the person I have become.’
