Shaving your legs can often be a painstaking task when you're trying to achieve that silky smooth finish.
However TikTok users have uncovered a life-changing hack that will save you time in the shower without harming on the quality of your shave, according to The Mirror.
Social media user Lauren Henderson shared the trick, which has gone viral, after she saw a video of how to do it.
She admitted the simple change to her routine has “forever changed” her.
She said: “I have got to show you a life hack that I learned on TikTok. I mean, does anyone else learn so much about life through TikTok, or is it just me?
“I wish I could remember the girl who posted the video, but I saw it and it has forever changed me.
“It deals with shaving your legs, so if you shave your legs, listen up!”
The hack is pretty simple. All you have to do is keep your razor against your skin when you travel back down to the bottom of your leg.
This means that instead of only shaving from the ankle up toward your knee, you actually shave in both directions – saving time and effort.

Lauren added in the clip: “I literally just did this this morning, so grab your razor!
“You know how we lather our legs up and we shave, and we shave, and we do all that, right? Wrong! So wrong!
“Try this instead: Shave, but don’t lift it.
“It literally took me five seconds per leg to shave my legs this morning, that is the fastest it has ever taken me in my life.
“And you can go over your knees too, and it doesn’t cut you up!”
The video has gone down a storm, racking up more than 72,000 likes. It seems many people can’t believe they’ve been shaving their legs the 'wrong way' for years.
One person said: “I tried it out of curiosity and it really does work, just in case anyone is hesitant. No cuts nothing but smooth legs.”
While another added: “Okay so I just used this method today. You literally changed my life for the better, thank you!”
A third exclaimed: “I literally paused this video, went and showered and did this and came back to say … OMG!”
Meanwhile, another hack that went viral on TikTok this week was one from a doctor who gave a helpful tip for people who struggle to get to sleep.
