Ariel Winter Looking To Ditch College To Focus On Acting

Ariel Winter is looking to ditch college to focus on her acting career.

The Modern Family star recently confirmed she would be putting her education on hold as she continues to pursue the work she loves. This news comes after the actress began her first year at UCLA this past September.

Winter recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her decision.

“I do love UCLA, but at the moment I’m taking a break from it so I can continue to pursue my career and also try to have a little bit more of a life because I’ve been so busy. That’s really it at the moment. But I think education’s really important. I love being there. I love learning. I will continue to keep learning,” she explained.

Fans know the hit ABC has already been renewed for its 10th season but beyond that, her status of playing Alex Dunphy is unclear. The show still does well but is definitely losing the luster it once had. There is a chance year ten could be Modern Family’s final season. ABC will likely make an announcement regarding the show in May when the network unveils its 2018-2019-television schedule.

The 20-year-old has been acting since she was a little girl and is hoping to make the transition from child actor to adult actor. Her brainy character on the show will surely help with this transition.

Another transition she is making is staying out of the spotlight, Winter has intentionally been trying to live her life outside of the public eye.

“I think the key to doing that is to try to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible unless you’re doing something that you want people to see. Having every little aspect of your life in the public eye is really hard because it leaves more room for criticism and I just want to live,” Winter revealed.

Along with focusing on her career as opposed to UCLA, Ariel Winter is also enjoying time with her boyfriend Levi Meaden. The two have been pretty much inseparable since they started dating in 2016. They even live together.
