Brass Against’s Lead Singer Sophia Urista Addresses Her Peeing Antics: ‘I Pushed the Limits Too Far’

The bizarre act took place when the singer and her band performed a rendition of Rage Against the Machine’s ‘Wake Up’ at Welcome to Rockville on Thursday night, November 11.

AceShowbizBrass Against‘s lead singer Sophia Urista has personally addressed her controversial action during a recent concert. The singer took to her Instagram account to share a statement as she allegedly received a police report after she peed on a male fan at the Welcome to Rockville Music Festival.

“Hey everyone. I want to speak to my performance at Rockville metal festival in Daytona,” Sophia wrote on Instagram Story. “I have always pushed the limits on music and on stage. That night, I pushed the limits too far.”

She went on to note, “I love my family, the band, and the fans more than anything and I know some were hurt or offended by what I did. I apologize to them and want them to know I didn’t mean to hurt them.”

Concluding her message, Sophie said, “I am not a shock artist. I always want to put my music first. I’m grateful for all your love and support.”

The bizarre act took place when she performed a rendition of Rage Against the Machine‘s “Wake Up” at Welcome to Rockville on Thursday night, November 11. At the time, the singer allegedly grabbed a bottle of water, noting that she would conclude the show by relieving herself on someone in the audience once she drank it all.

“Get my man with the can on his head ready, ’cause we’re going to bring him onstage and I’ma piss in this motherf***er’s mouth,” Sophie said. After the willing fan arrived on the stage and laid down flat on his back on stage, she straddled his head and slided her pants down. She then peed, trying to aim into the can.

The band itself addressed the matter on its official Twitter account on Friday, “We had a great time last night at Welcome to Rockville. Sophia got carried away,” the band explained, “That’s not something the rest of us expected, and it’s not something you’ll see again at our shows. Thanks for bringing it last night, Daytona.”
