Gemma Collins has revealed her father is in hospital and fighting for his life after contracting the deadly Covid-19 virus.
The heartbroken 39-year-old reality star has been sharing updates on the condition of her father, Alan, who fell ill with the coronavirus earlier in the week.
Doubling the heartache, Gemma’s mother, Joan, is also battling the disease – however Alan’s condition appeared to have worsened in the past 24 hours.
Taking to social media, Gemma confirmed her dad was in hospital and shared her fear for his health as she uploaded a photo of herself holding his hand.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday night, Gemma wrote: “I’m so scared right now.
“My dad is so unwell I have never seen anything like this in my lifetime,” adding a broken heart emoji.
The star went on: “Covid is so scary laying next to my dad holding his hand right now.
“I am showing you this to create awareness of how real Covid is.”

While on Christmas Eve, Gemma took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of herself and her father on a riverbank from her childhood.
The star revealed her dad was in hospital, and took a moment to thank NHS staff helping to save his life.
She wrote: "THANK YOU QUEENS HOSPITAL NHS.
“ALL THE AMAZING DOCTORS who are helping my dad right now in hospital.”
Gemma’s post was intercut with red heart emojis – while fans and followers of the TOWIE star sent her messages of hope and encouragement.
One fan wrote: “Blessing and prays with your parents for full recovery.”
While another wrote: “Thinking of you all & sending prayers.”
While Alan battles the virus in hospital, Gemma’s mother Joan is also struck with Covid-19, with the reality star saying her mother fell sick after they spent time shopping in London.
A spokesperson for Gemma said they had no further information about Alan and Joan’s condition, stating: “we aren’t commenting”.
