The plot for the film follows Lenny Feder (Adam Sandler) reuniting with his lifelong childhood friends, Eric Lamonsoff (Kevin James), Kurt McKenzie (Chris Rock), Marcus Higgins (David Spade) and Rob Hilliard (Rob Schneider). The crew reunites Fourth of July weekend after learning about the passing of their middle school basketball coach. While the film critics didn’t love the film it led to sequels, and to more money for the cast’s net worth.

Maya Rudolph played Deanne Mckenzie in Grown Ups and the sequel films. She is the wife to Kurt Mckenzie and the mother to their children Andre (Nadji Jeter) and Charlotte (China Anne McClain). Maya Rudolph became a cast member of SNL in 2000 and became more widely known.

Her character is the wife of Eric Lamonsoff and is the mother of Donna  (Ada-Nicole Sanger) and Bean (Frank and Morgan Gingerich). Bello is widely recognized for her role in the 2000s film Coyote Ugly.

Actor and friend of Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider played the role of Rob “Carrot” Hilliard. Hilliard lives a different lifestyle compared to his friends. He goes for the more organic, natural,and holistic approach. Schneider himself is also a comedian, screenwriter and director.

Steve Buscemi’s character, Wiley, runs in the same crew as Malcolm and often likes to tease Lenny Feder and his friends. Buscemi has starred in many films, including Reservoir Dogs (1992), Desperado (1995), Con Air (1998) and Armageddon (1998). He is also recognized for his roles in Fargo (1996) and The Big Lebowski (1998).

David Spade is another actor and friend of Adam Sandler that you will often see in his film productions. He plays Marcus Higgins, one of Lenny’s childhood friends. He can be described as the ‘hillbilly’ of the group. Spade was another actor who rose to recognition being a part of SNL from 1990 until 1996.

In 1997 until 2003, he played the main role of Dennis Finch in the show Just Shoot Me!. He was also C.J. Barnes in 8 Simple Rules (2004-05) and Russell Dunbar in Rules of Engagement (2007-13). He also had roles in Sandler’s films The Benchwarmers (2006), Jack & Jill (2011,) and voiced Griffin in the Hotel Transylvania (2012) films.

Kevin James played the role of Eric Lamonsoff in the film, one of Lenny’s close friends who is shy about revealing his real financial issues to his friends. James is widely recognized for his role on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens (1998-2007) as Doug Heffernan.
