The music video sees the British singer taking over the dance floor after ditching his top while Balvin delivers his lines beside him.
The music video for Liam Payne and J Balvin‘s collaborative track “Familiar” is here for your viewing pleasure. Premiered on May 4, the nearly three-and-a-half-minute visuals features the duo hosting a dance party on a rooftop.
In the clip, the One Direction member is seen sitting on the bonnet of a vintage car as he watches a group of scantily-clad ladies dance for him. Liam then takes over the dance floor, showing off some dance moves after ditching his shirt. Meanwhile, Balvin delivers his lines beside the British singer.
The musician duo then moves the dance party to a VIP club at one point. This time, Liam dances with a group of beautiful women who later caress the singer as they drop down to the floor. “Can we get famili-famili-famili-familiar?/ I’m feelin’, I’m feelin’, I’m feelin’, I’m feelin’ ya,” he sings. “What’s on your mind for later tonight?/ Let me be the one to fill it up.”
Prior to this, Liam and Balvin premiered a vertical music video for the track on Spotify. The video simply features scenes of Liam and Balvin belting out the song while a slew of sexy women showcase their dance moves.
“Familiar”, which was released on April 20, is the fourth single off Liam’s upcoming debut album “LP1”, which still doesn’t have a tentative release date. It follows “Kind of Beautiful”, “Bedroom Floor”, “Tell Your Friends” and “Strip That Down” featuring Quavo of Migos.
Not much is known about the album, but producer Steve Mac previosuly said that the effort would be one to remember. “I wouldn’t say it’s a body of work that will flow, but what I like is that it’s going to be hit to hit to hit. And in my world, those are the best album,” he said.
