Love Island’s Dr Alex ‘cheated on ex-girlfriend and sexted other women’

Love Island star Dr Alex George is accused of cheating on his ex-girlfriend Ellie Hecht by “sexting other women” during their relationship.

The pair began dating in early 2021 and while things were getting serious between Alex and Ellie, they split after looking for a home together.

Alex reportedly cheated on Ellie during the early stages of their relationship, but she decided to forgive him and move past it, a source told The Sun.

"She really has been his rock during a very difficult time for him and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, Alex went on to sext a number of other women during their relationship," the insider said.

They claimed that the situation “came to a head” when Ellie was contacted and the “beans were spilled about what he had been up to.”

The source also alleged that he said he “hadn’t slept with anyone else” but Ellie was doubtful before confirming that the couple had “tried everything to make it work” but that it wasn’t meant to be.

The couple recently broke up after just having bought a dog together, amid their plans to buy a house together.

It is reported that Ellie will be keeping their pooch Freddie and that she has collected her things from the front-line worker’s flat, but that they are “determined to stay friends”.

Ellie and Alex had been together since January 2021 but was only confirmed in June.

A year prior, the Welsh physician's teenage brother took his own life which sparked Alex’s move to focus on mental health. He is now the UK’s Youth Mental Health Ambassador.

Alex’s little brother Llyr was struggling with his mental health and was due to attend medical school just a month after he died.

The 31-year-old doctor took to Instagram to praise and honour his sibling in a touching message, calling him “the kindest and most caring soul” who would have been the “most incredible doctor”.

He continued on to explain that their entire family were “hurting” beyond words, that they are “devastated” over the loss of “their boy”.

Doctor Alex recently paid tribute to his late brother, saying that he was “kind, sensitive and funny,” alongside a picture of the brothers together.

He also included videos of Llyr swimming, skateboarding and playing with the family dog.

Daily Star has contacted a representative of Alex for comment.
