Lucy Mecklenburgh recently expanded her family when she welcomed her second child, and first daughter, into the world.

In a recent interview, she revealed having two kids is “absolute carnage” but as fans can see on her Instagram account, she is completely in love with her little family.

The reality TV star has been regularly posting snaps of her children to her 1.7million followers, with many of them sharing their love and support for her.

She has been with Ryan Thomas for five years now, with the pair originally meeting through Bear Grylls.

A lot has changed since then, from surviving the Covid lockdown to starting a family. Here is the pair’s relationship over the years.

How did Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas meet?

The couple were first romantically linked in 2017 when they were filming Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls in Panama.

Even though neither confirmed they had eyes for one another back then, a source told the Daily Star: "There's definitely a mutual attraction which is getting everyone excited."

It wasn’t long before they made their relationship official, as the pair attended Wimbledon together soon after.

In an interview with Fabulous, Lucy said: "It's no secret that we've been on holiday together, and I've had a really lovely time.

“Life's good. It’s really early days. If it’s OK with you, I’d like to leave it at that."

In August of 2017, Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls finally aired and fans got to see their romance develop in the series.

Are Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas married?

In 2019, on a trip to Italy, Ryan proposed to Lucy with the former TOWIE star writing to her Instagram followers: “I SAID YES”.

In an interview with OK! Ryan revealed that Lucy didn’t quite have the reaction he expected when he popped the question.

He explained: "Lucy kept me waiting before she said yes… then she threw up!"

They pair have been engaged since, with no wedding date currently confirmed.

What is Lucy Mecklenburgh’s baby’s name?

Before meeting Lucy, Ryan had another child from a previous relationship.

In 2017, he introduced Lucy to his now-11-year-old daughter, Scarlett, whom he shares with ex Tina O’Brien.

After their engagement, Lucy revealed: “At the start of our relationship, Ryan told me that he couldn’t see himself having any more children.

“It wasn’t something I pushed at the time because I wasn’t ready to have kids and I assumed that he would change his mind one day.

“It’s something we’ve since had to have an adult conversation about and we’ve agreed we will try for children when the time is right."

Ryan added: “I definitely want children with Lucy but I don’t think it’ll happen for a few years.”

The pair's wishes came to fruition, as their first son Roman was welcomed into the world in March 2020.

In May, 2022, the couple had their second child and first daughter together, who they confirmed was called Lilah Rae.

On Instagram, she wrote: "Yay!! I finally have a name!!! Lilah Rae Thomas."

The name is of Arabic and Hebrew origin, meaning "delicate" and "night beauty."
