Zayn Malik's younger sister Waliyha's 40 guest wedding was broken up by police due a coronavirus restrictions breach, it's alleged.
Waliyha, 22, got married on Saturday to Junaid Khan, 24, at the home of another of Zayn’s sisters, Saffa, in Bradford, West Yorks, it's claimed.
Bradford is in Tier 3 of coronavirus restrictions, meaning wedding ceremonies can take place with up to 15 people but wedding receptions are banned.
Zayn was not at the traditional Islamic wedding because he is in the US.
It is claimed there was a marquee put up in the garden for the ceremony which was followed by a reception.
It is claimed, cops arrived at the house around 6pm after being called by neighbours.
Neighbours called officers, who turned up at the event at 6pm, and issued fines to guests, Mail Online reports.
West Yorkshire police confirmed to Daily Star Online a number of people were issued with fixed penalty notices at a large party in Bradford.
A spokesman for police said: "Police attended an address just after 6pm on Saturday evening following a report of a large party.
"A group of people were fined inside the address and fixed penalty notices were issued as a breach of coronavirus restrictions had been committed.
"The incident was dealt with in line with the four Es approach, and as a result of which, some fixed penalty notices were issued."
Zayn Malik's representatives have been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment.
The singer has been staying at his girlfriend Gigi Hadid's family farm in Pennsylvania through the lockdown.
Zayn would have had to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival in the UK if he attended the wedding.
