Disney World now selling boozy ice lollies – with as much alcohol in as a glass of wine

Disney Springs is Disney World’s shopping and dining section in Orlando, although it’s actually open for anyone to visit if they’re in the area.

Made by Buzz Pop Cocktails, there are eight different flavours to choose from.

These include Moscow mule, margarita, mango passion fruit and blueberry pomegranate – with an alcohol content of 15 per cent, which is pretty strong indeed.

The lollies are fat free and 100 calories each, which is good news for anyone who’s trying not to indulge too much.

The park only started to serve alcohol in May this year in three of its restaurants – as Walt Disney himself wasn’t a drinker.

Disney’s new Star Wars park will also serve alcohol when it opens in 2019.

Oga’s Cantina, on the Black Spire Outpost, will be serving pilots, bounty hunters, smugglers, locals and galactic travellers who are in need of a drink.

Beer, wine and outer space-themed cocktails will be served in bizarre cups and glasses, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices.

Although the drinks can only be consumed within the cantina – so you won't be able to take the booze with you round the park.

Musical entertainment at the cantina will be provided courtesy of RX-24, the former StarSpeeder 3000 pilot droid who first appeared in Star Tours, now working as the cantina’s DJ.

The bar is especially big news for Disneyland because, until now, alcohol has only been available for sale in its private Club 33 and the neighbouring California Adventure park.

Disney announced that the Star Wars-themed lands will open next summer in California's Disneyland and next autumn at Disney World in Orlando.
