Planning to propose to your loved one this Leap Year? Premier Inn is looking to make the experience that little bit easier for guests…
In fact, the budget hotel chain has launched a new package specifically for those planning a proposal for Saturday 29th February, to make the occasion extra special.
Those who book the special package will stay in rooms decked out with heart-shaped balloons, as well as receiving extras including a bottle of Prosecco, a token wooden engagement ring, and a hearty breakfast for two.
The Leap Year Proposal package will be included in the normal price of a room – and considering you can find rates from £35 a night, it could be ideal for those on a budget.
However, you're going to want to be quick to make use of the deal.
There are only 29 of the Leap Year packages up for grabs. To apply, simply book a room and then send your booking details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can find out more on the Premier Inn website.
The new packages come after the brand looked at the general costs of a proposal; with the engagement ring alone often suggested to cost three times a monthly salary.
The idea is that those who have splashed out on the ring but don't want to break the bank can make use of the new offer, while still having a memorable experience.
After all, there are some pretty amazing places to propose around the world, but when you're on a tight budget sometimes they're just not feasible to visit.
The offer can be used at any of the chain's hotels – so if you're looking to make a special weekend of it, it's worth looking at a mini break in one of the UK's best romantic destinations.
Simon Ewins, Managing Director, Premier Inn UK said: "We want to offer anyone planning to propose the chance to show their love and commitment, and with the help of our limited- edition proposal package we hope people around the UK will take the leap this February.
"With the start of a new decade and 2020 being a Leap Year, we hope to demonstrate to everyone that love doesn't cost a thing… or at least, it shouldn’t cost much!"
