Virgin’s cruise line is building a seriously lavish Bahamas beach club

Virgin Voyages has seriously upped the glamour on its upcoming cruise holidays , as it unveils plans for a lavish beach club in the Bahamas.

The Beach Club at Bimini will feature on ALL of new ship Scarlet Lady’s sailings when she takes to the sea in April 2020, and the company has offered a sneak peek in a host of new renderings.

The verdict? It looks like it’s going to be seriously swanky.

For a start the beach looks like something from a film set with its white sand shores, crystal-clear waters and lush green backdrops.

Then there’s the beach club itself, which could be set to rival the world-famous offerings in the likes of Ibiza and Saint Tropez.

Think heaps of hammocks to flock on, six beach bars, a lagoon-style pool, and plenty of waterfront cabanas ideal for lounging on.

As for the entertainment? Think live DJs and music performances, with Mark Ronson already lined up to take to the turntables first, with four performances scheduled in 2020.

Then there are the flotilla parties, water sports and beach games for extra adrenaline.

Those who prefer a slower pace won’t be disappointed, with morning yoga and meditation sessions on offer, and a beach bonfire at the end of the evening complete with acoustic music performances.

Meanwhile, foodies can get their fill thanks to the complimentary, thoughtfully-sourced local dishes. Think conch and mango salad, banana leaf-wrapped queen snapper, and Bahamian rum cake to name a few.

As for adventurers? Excursions around the island of Bimini, which was a well-known favourite destination of Ernest Hemingway’s, will also be on offer from snorkeling to wreck diving around the SS Sapona a few miles off the coast.

Oh, and for sailors booked in to the ship’s glamorous RockStar Suites , there’ll be an exclusive dedicated bar, complimentary food service, an outdoor terrace lounge, sun loungers and beach cabanas.

Virgin Voyages announced plans for the beach club as it also celebrated bookings opening for Scarlet Lady on 14th February, for a host of sailings which include Costa Maya in Mexico, and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.

The Beach Club at Bimini, built in partnership with Resorts World Bimini, will feature on all of her sailings.
