Sanitation workers on Wednesday finally shipped out a fishing boat that had been abandoned on a Bronx street for over a week.
A Sanitation rep told The Post the wayward boat, first spotted April 17, was removed by trailer and will be sent to a DSNY facility to be torn apart and thrown away.
Fed-up neighbors had told The Post they wanted the dingy eyesore, an older model 22-foot Iola Molded Plastic fishing boat, cast away from the area.
“A boat should be in the water and not the street,” Jim Tolentino, 36, said. “I don’t know why the city doesn’t clean it up. The trash is ridiculous.”
