Birth of Harry’s daughter Lilibet could ‘mend the divide’ within Royal Family

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their baby daughter Lilibet into the world last week, and her birth could help 'mend the divide' between the duke and the Royal Family, it's claimed.

Princess Diana's former voice coach, Stewart Pearce, has said he believes Meghan and Harry were "troubled" by the lack of support from household staff and the lapse of contact between the duke of Sussex and Prince Charles.

He told US Weekly that Lilibet's recent birth could bring the Royal Family closer.

Pearce said: “Babies always bring inordinate love, joy and hope and so yes."

The author, who wrote Diana: The Voice of Change: Revelations about Diana's Life Principles, say Harry and Charles "didn't resolve their differences" when he returned to the UK to attend Prince Philip's funeral in April.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down with Oprah Winfrey to speak of their time in The Firm before moving to the US.

During the bombshell interview, they claimed a member of the royal family made a racist remark over Archie's skin colour before he was born.

Harry also said that after the pair stepped down as senior royals in 2020, his father stopped taking his calls.

  • Princess Diana would have been 'thrilled' with granddaughter Lilibet's 'beautiful' names

It's claimed that Harry did not repair the reported 'rift' with his family when he visited the UK for his grandfather funeral earlier this year.

The couple recently announced the news of their second child who was born on Friday, who has Archie as an older brother.

“It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world,” the couple’s Archewell website announced in a statement on Sunday, June 6.

“Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11.40am. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA.”

It comes as Prince Charles broke his silence publicly by declaring it was "happy news" to hear of Lilibet's birth, his fifth grandchild.

The future King spoke of legacy for future generations during an event at the Mini production plant.

The Prince said: "The development of technology like electric vehicles, or green hydrogen for that matter for heavy transport, is vital for maintaining the health of our world for future generations.

"It is something I'm only too aware of today having recently become a grandfather for the fifth time.
