Brit police officer facing criminal charges for having sex with women on duty

A Brit police officer has been accused of having sex with three different women while on duty.

PC Adam Hoyle, who is set to go on trial at Liverpool Crown Court over abusing his position next year, is facing four charges of misconduct, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The Merseyside Police officer is accused of becoming involved in an inappropriate relationship with a woman, and then had sex with her while on duty.

Another charge relates to 39-year-old PC Hoyle kissing a third woman while trying to have sex with her during a shift at the Lower Lane Police Station.

There are also computer misuse offences, which allegedly took place between June 20 and November 18, 2019.

The charges span seven years, from May 26, 2012 to May 31, 2019.

He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court earlier today (November 29), and will appear at Crown Court on January 4, having been released on unconditional bail.

Wearing a light blue shirt and tie with navy trousers was not asked to enter a plea and spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during a brief hearing.

The bearded officer was pictured outside court earlier today wearing a grey and black puffer jacket with a face covering on.

Inside court, he spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address – Yelverton Close in Halewood – during a brief hearing.

Merseyside Police confirmed that Hoyle is suspended from duty but said it would not comment on the case while court proceedings are ongoing.

An Independent Office for Police Conduct spokesman said: "We investigated the conduct of PC Adam Hoyle, 39, following allegations he had abused his position for a sexual purpose.

"On conclusion of our investigation, we passed a file to the Crown Prosecution Service which authorised charges."
