Adorable footage captures a day in the life of a curious cat who climbs trees, explores roofs and tentatively meets a dog.

The two-minute clip, recorded in Linyi City in China’s Shandong Province, provides a brief snapshot into the secret lives our adventurous pets lead.

Taken using a tiny camera attached to the grey and white cat’s collar, the footage shows the feline leaping across rooftops and carefully clambering through trees.

At the end of the video, the cat is so startled by the appearance of a friendly dog that it scampers off, leaving its collar-cam behind. 

Shared to TikTok by Min and Gang Wang, the couple’s viral clip has captured the interest of tens of millions of cat-lovers. 

Pictures shared on the pair’s social media show the ingenious way they’ve managed to track their pet’s every move – by attaching a live action camera to its collar.

After bravely jumping onto a nearby structure, the cat then proceeds to show off impressive parkour moves as he effortlessly leaps from roof to roof

Sniffing as he goes, the curious cat does his best impression of a high-wire act as he makes his way across the urban environment

The recording begins with the male cat, named Meng Chong or ‘charge forward’, carefully moving along a tree branch and weaving through leaves. 

After bravely jumping onto a nearby structure, the feline then proceeds to show off impressive parkour moves as he effortlessly leaps from roof to roof. 

Sniffing as he goes, the curious cat does his best impression of a high-wire act as he makes his way across the city’s urban environment.

After a short while, Meng Chong makes his way into a cluttered yard with his prize awaiting him in the middle: some cabbage.

He carefully approaches and prepares to pick away at the tasty treat before he’s interrupted by a tiny dog.

Shocked by the sudden appearance of the pooch, the cat starts hissing and immediately dashes off to the corner of the yard as he makes his escape.

The adorable footage, which has been seen over 38million times on TikTok, prompted hundreds of hilarious comments from viewers.
