Costa del Sol shooting leaves one dead at campsite as killers flee scene

Gunmen in the Costa del Sol have killed a man following a deadly shooting in Marbella.

The killers fled the campsite in a Renault Megane, smashing through a toll barrier before leaving the burned-out vehicle nearby.

It is the sixth deadly shooting in Spain's popular Costa del Sol in just two months.

The suspects, two men who kept their faces covered in masks, fled the scene, and Spanish police have launched a manhunt.

Police were called to the carpark of the Cabopino campsite just after 8pm on Tuesday (7pm UK time), where a man between the age of 45 and 50, according to Spanish newspaper Malaga Hoy.

The car, which was a rental vehicle, was found torched shortly afterwards in the Mijas area.

Police believe the killers got in another vehicle before continuing in the direction of Almeria.
