Sky News Australia host Paul Murray ridiculed President Joe Biden for a polling collapse which has seen his favourability tumble by over 10 percent in five months. It comes as the trust of the American people in their President’s ability to lead appears to be dwindling fast as his handling of the economy, Coronavirus, and withdrawal from Afghanistan has been slammed by voters in a devastating poll.
Paul Murray said: “For a long time I have called Joe Biden ‘Swampy Joe!’
“Because he is the ultimate swamp creature of Washington: long time in the Senate, Vice President, now of course President of the United States.
“But if you have a look at his opinion polls, we should probably be calling him ‘Slidin Biden’!”
The Australian host noted this is because of a recent Quinnipiac survey conducted in the USA which has seen Mr Biden’s approval rating plummet from 49 percent favourable in May to 38 percent in June.

Mr Murray slammed: “Afghanistan seemed to be the major one….
“But his Covid response has been disgraceful!
“The economy is not going well, inflation is going through the roof.
“So national security, Covid, and the economy all going poorly!”

The poll in question is the Quinnipiac poll which showed Republicans (94 – 4 percent) and independents (60 – 32 percent) disapprove of the job Biden is doing.
The same poll stated Democrats approve of Biden by 80 – 10 percent.
For his response to the Coronavirus: 48 percent approve, while 50 percent disapprove.
In terms of Mr Biden’s handling of the economy: 39 percent approve, but 55 percent disapprove.
