South Korea’s military is looking into whether the North launched the two missiles on Tuesday morning.

The suspected blast occured 8:30 AM toward waters off its east coast, the Chosun newspaper claimed, citing unidentified government sources and Kang Dae-sik, an opposition party lawmaker.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff is “confirming whether North Korea has launched two cruise missiles”, the paper said.

No further details are available and the Defense Ministry has yet to make an announcement.
