Kiran was watching a film at home in Huddersfield at 11.15pm when a neighbour banged on her door and window.

She was too terrified to open up but her sister phoned 999 after spotting a woman in her pyjamas with two children outside.

They were reportedly shouting that someone had attacked her husband.

Police later said a 33-year-old man had been stabbed.

Kiran, whose frightened son has been left unable to sleep, told YorkshireLive: "I heard banging on the door. I got scared.
