A teenager riding a motorcycle died Friday night in a collision with a Cadillac in Aurora, police said.
The fatal crash happened at about 8:25 p.m. on Havana Street near East Sixth Avenue, according to police. The 17-year-old riding the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Cadillac involved in the collision was not injured.
The driver of the Cadillac was making a left turn off of northbound Havana to go west on Hanover Way when the crash happened, police said. The motorcycle, described as a “dirt bike” that was “not street legal,” was southbound on Havana at a high speed. The motorcycle hit the side of the sedan as it was turning. An investigation is ongoing.
