Three-bed home going up for auction for just £20k – but it needs a deep clean

A THREE-BEDROOM house dubbed "auction gold" could be yours for just £20,000 – but it needs a serious deep clean.

The online listing for the soon-to-be-sold property in Highfields, Leicester, shows rooms caked in dirt with rubbish piled high on the floor.

Wallpaper is seen peeling off the walls in the living room and filthy pots and pans line the kitchen counters.

But, with a bit of hard work, the house could be turned into an amply-sized three-bedroom home – with the potential for a loft room if the attic is converted.

The house is stone's throw from Leicester train station, and could make an ideal student house with the university just a walk away.

The boiler is new and fully-functional, with auctioneers SDL Property Auctions dubbing it "auction gold" for a "seasoned investor".

Previously, a three-bed house in Milton Keynes was put up for sale at the bargain price of £90k – but buyers feared it was the dirtiest in Britain.

Stacks of rubbish were seen both inside and outside the home – along with a bathroom caked in grime.
