A weather forecaster says the UK is "odds-on" to see the return of some "very hot" heatwave conditions for one week this month.
Exacta Weather forecaster James Madden has revealed when Brits can expect the return of scorching summer temperatures with a "prolonged run of summer" just around the corner.
It comes following a balmy few weeks with the mercury exceeding 30C on a number of occasions.

Madden has pinpointed the week beginning Monday, July 17, as when temperatures should warm up again.
He said: "The more unsettled and somewhat cooler weather is now well and truly upon us and we have a little bit of a wait before we see a return to the heatwave conditions we experienced earlier last month.
"However, towards the week ending July 16 is for in and around when we should see temperatures starting to rise once again.
"And throughout the week starting July 17 is now heavily odds-on to see a significant weather pattern change and a return to some very hot conditions and a prolonged run of summer for up to a two week period as high pressure dominates proceedings once again.
Speaking of recent talk about temperatures possibly topping 40C, he said: "Our original several month ahead forecast for this period stated that we felt that 40C may be out of reach this summer.
"And we still stand by that part of our forecast, and therefore retain our original estimation for the mid to high 30s to potentially be achieved in the remaining Heatwaves in July and August."
He said the heat in August however will "pave the way" for a very warm to hot September period too – with the possibility of another record-breaking month for heat.
