The site has two buildings and a heated swimming pool at the back, along with a seating area and paved terrace

There is also a modern two-storey cottage, called The Purbecks, which sits next to the main hotel and provides the remaining five letting bedrooms.

The hotel also has a heated swimming pool at the rear of the site and its own seating area, as well as a decked and paved guest terrace and further terraced levels with shrubs and lawned gardens.

West Lulworth is a picturesque village, a short walk from Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

It is popular with walkers, bird-watchers and fossil hunters, meaning it draws visitors throughout the year.

The luxury home is just a 20 minute walk away from the stunning natural landmark of Durdle Door

The hotel, which dates back to 1881, sits beside the hugely popular seafront and beach

The surrounding area boasts stunning views of the beautiful Dorset coastline and the English Channel

‘The site offers further potential for development subject to the necessary planning permissions.’

Savills say the hotel offers a ‘unique opportunity’ to benefit from high footfall as it is opposite the main car park for Lulworth.

The listing added: ‘The previous business, a holiday cooperative, operated the country house hotel to patrons only, offering members and guests full board along with guided and self-guided walking and activity holidays.

‘An incoming hotelier will be well placed to take full advantage of the aforementioned number of visitors and demand for accommodation, while also serving food and drink to non-patrons.’
