Brits have been told they might have a coin in their spare change which could be worth 125 times its original value.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ten pence was first available to purchase in Uncirculated quality back in March 2018, in Royal Mint packs and from official distributors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The circulated version, available in the same year is worth around \u00a310 according to the website, and an uncirculated coin, in pristine condition is worth around \u00a312.50.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, a second version was released a year later in 2019, and it is much rarer than the original.<\/p>\n

Both are avidly low minted and are scarcely found in change, but be sure to look out for the date to see how much you could be getting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Some are being sold for less than their value on eBay, and a dozen people have bid for the ten pence at \u00a39.<\/p>\n
While other sellers have pushed up the price beyond at \u00a338, yet only 3 coin enthusiasts have drawn their attention to the collectable and a bid is yet to happen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The coin was released by The Royal Mint, along with the rest of the alphabet, with the intent to represent the best of the British.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They were available to purchase by the Royal Mint and the post office, with the hope of inspiring patriotism.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At the time, Director of the Royal Mint, Dr Kevin Clancy said: ‘This series really drills down into the heartland of what makes Britain British. It\u2019s the granularity of British life celebrated on the coinage.’<\/p>\n
Anne Jessopp, the first female CEO of The Royal Mint, agreed: \u2018These designs were selected because we feel they represent a diverse mix of elements that make up the country we all love.<\/p>\n
Over two million coins were minted overall, some featuring the Houses of Parliament, Stonehenge and even James Bond.\u00a0<\/p>\n
