DRAB passport photos are a thing of the past as a beauty expert has shared her top tips on how to get the perfect shot.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, the government is quite strict on what you can and can\u2019t do for a passport photo, which can last for 10 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The picture must be clear and in focus, in colour and unedited by any kind of computer software (including filters).\u00a0<\/p>\n
You must face forwards and look straight at the camera, you must have your hair out of your eyes\u2026 and most notably, you\u2019re not allowed to smile.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This last rule is what gets to most people, but luckily make-up artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis knows exactly what you need to do to bring life into your passport photo.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While you may usually wear highlighter, shimmery eyeshadow and a glowy foundation – this is the \u201conly instance\u201d where they are \u201cthe enemy\u201d.<\/p>\n

She told Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveller: \u201cWhile highlighters and shimmers should be avoided, brightening powders, especially under the eyes, are great for cheating good lighting.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lan added that you should also avoid wearing sunscreen for the photo as the glow it gives you doesn\u2019t mix well with the flash of the camera.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Though highlighter might not be your friend, blush certainly is.\u00a0<\/p>\n
With the brightness of the photo booth camera, you\u2019re going to want to go a little heavier when applying a bit of \u201csoft cream blush\u201d to bring back some life to your face.\u00a0<\/p>\n
